Catherine joined Blevans, Itzkowitz & Cantrell, LLP in 2024 from Washington D.C., where she practiced complex family law in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Virginia for one of the area’s most well-respected family law firms, Ain & Bank, P.C.

As a family law practitioner, Catherine represents clients in all facets of family law matters, with a particular emphasis in matters involving complex financial issues related to the characterization and valuation of assets, determination of income available for child and spousal support, valuation and structuring of private business and trust interests, and division of complex, high-net-worth marital estates. Catherine is also experienced with complex multi-jurisdictional issues pertaining to dissolution, child custody, and child support litigation and, when necessary, resolving high-conflict custody and domestic violence matters.

Prior to working for Ain & Bank, Catherine worked in international capital markets for Allen & Overy (now A&O Shearman) in their U.S. federal regulatory and asset management practice. Catherine advised U.S. and foreign banks and asset managers on U.S. federal and state banking and securities laws, structured complex capital markets deals and private investment vehicles, and managed multi-jurisdictional surveys of foreign securities laws for various asset managers.
